This episode was really funny, wish it was longer.

Is “unfunny” actually even a word?

If so, the concept’s greatest champion and paragon has got to be Mr. Jimmy Dore.

Dylan, I wish it were longer too, they were really funny.

Reginald, I’m not smart enough to be able to tell if you are slamming me or complimenting me. If you are complimenting me then thanks, if slamming, then I am sure it will hurt my feelings.

1) C&EE is great always great, occasionally poignant, often challenging and even deep.
2) The radio show is one of the best ever. Always sharp. Feldman has stolen your round-table talk-format so you are even improving other shows.
3) Your standup is fantastic. “Citizen Jimmy” is one of the most golden sets I’ve ever heard recorded. The crowd was right there with you for the whole show.
4) What’s with the S&M/B&D -Amnesty International-warzone type-face on this page? Tortured letters? All tied up and bleeding? What’s this message?
It’s distracting.
5) You were great on the Gilmartin’s Mental Illness Happy Hour. You should go on Marc Maron’s WTF. He owes you one since ’09.

Really not into that phone call. I don’t think it’s funny or edgy.. It’s just bullying. Perhaps if the audience was involved in the decision. Like.. show this woman performing stand-up.. and she has to be not only unfunny, but somehow offensive or she’s stealing jokes.. or is a complete bitch offstage.. so that when when she gets that call, we can all laugh because we know she’s a piece of shit. But I don’t trust Bonnie McFarlane enough to know that this woman isn’t funny or isn’t new to stand-up or doesn’t somehow deserve this phone call for another reason. It sounds a bit like the comedy bootcamp cold calls. But I appreciate Jimmy’s response to the call because he seemed to think it was in poor taste as well.

Anyway…thanks for an episode with some new guests!

Jimmy, I enjoyed the show as usual. I’ve actually gone back and listened to a bunch now. Until your show I never considered myself a fan of stand-up, mostly because the comedians I saw on TV seemed safe and dumb and boring (e.g. “So… airline food!” and “WEINER! His NAME is Weiner!”), pitching their act to the lowest denominator. But with the vast majority of comedians I find myself re-writing their jokes or lamenting the dumbass world view which undercuts their insights and spoils the funny. Not so with Jimmy Dore and many of the comedians you’ve introduced me to through your podcasts. I’m a writer and I especially enjoy your discussions about process. If you haven’t seen it yet, watch Hot Coffee on HBO. Thanks, man.

Jimmy – Stef…i love you guys and have not heard a show that i didn’t enjoy mucho! but these 2 girls are booooring as f:-(
big egos aren’t really funny….like….like…omg…uughh… i’m sorry to be so blunt. can’t wait for the next show to put this one out of my head. thanks though for being great hosts!

Michael you continue to show great taste in comedy and political commentary!
Scott you are WELCOME!
Jasmine, sorry you didn’t enjoy but these two women are very hilarious and I laughed out loud several times wile listening to this episode, I thought they were great! See you next week.

I very much enjoyed Bonnie and Lynn on this episode but I have to agree with Valerie–that phone call just came across as mean-spirited. I’m interested in the documentary but if the whole thing is executed with that kind of “Oh no we didn’t!” attitude then I think I’ll skip it.

I’d say if you have the chance pull the podcast, “Marty Flipman” the woman in the phone call’s name if you can and rerelease it.
Woman comics get a rough go, but no one is meaner to them than other women comics.

You are consistently awesome. Love you and Frank together, you were great on TYT.

I have to agree with the above comments about the phone call just being in poor taste. Also in extremely poor taste is having two women who’ve never been sexually assaulted making jokes about it, then inexplicably getting on a high horse about “To Catch A Predator.” How can I tell neither one of these women has ever been raped? Because if they had, there’s no way in hell they’d think this bit was funny, insightful, or for that matter worth saying out loud. Being a mean, shallow cunt isn’t funny. I thought you did a good job of trying to pull it out of the ditch, but Jesus Christ, how un-funny, insensitive and boring. I find it hard to imagine either of them is even a little bit funnier than the woman they prank called.
