Hate to pock on a joke, Jimmy, but as you often point out, good humor is rooted in truth: Hugo Chavez did not control all the media in Venezuela. As a matter of fact the overwhelming majority of media outlets in the country are privately owned and can do whatever they want. The largest station is run by one of the participatns of the 2002 failed coup and engages in FOX-like anti-Chavez rants 24-7… well maybe 24-7 is an exaggeration, but they have little FOX & Friends type panels that talk about everything from his treason to his inadequate penis. The latter is not an exaggeration. Chavez only had control of one public station which he used weekly to take calls from citizens.
Just spent a week long holiday back in my parents house translating newest TJDS episodes to Finnish for my dad who loves political comedy but dosen’t know much English, he loved this episode. Hugo Chaves was actually more moderate than many people think, not a hard thing to establish in todays world, I would be considered a Marxist and taken to McCarthys grave to be judged for my opinions…

I realize it made a set-up for a good joke, but one man controlling the Venezuelan media? Really? The Venezuelan media has been and is overwhelmingly privately owned, much of which is very right-wing and Fox-News like in their coverage.
